The first ever accurate kit of the radical Vought F7U-3M Cutlass in big 1/32 scale...our biggest and most detailed kit ever.The cockpit and landing gear have been designed and drawn in CAD to a fantastic standard of detail , then the masters created using the highest resolution output available . The airframe is broken down for ease of assembly, and cast in our usual high strength resin for longevity. Landing gear legs are investment cast white bronze courtesy of G-Factor.
The kit will build up into the F7U-3M , the final fleet defence fighter variant packing 4 ealry Sparrow 1 missiles.Markings are provided for 3 ships, both in the original natural metal / silver lacquer paint job and the later gull gray over white with colorful squadron markings for VX-4, VA-212 and VF-216 plus stencilling and national markings.4 Sparrows are inclided wth pylons, and the ailevators, speed-brakes and rudders are positionable.
The canopy is cast in clear resin with detailed framing, even the bullet-proof glass windscreen is scale thickness,and the canopy can be positioned open to display the unique Vought ejection seat and cockpit details.Wing span is nearly 15 inches and the model stands nearely 6 inches high at the canopy bow...a very eye-catching piece!
